eCast Search
... broadcast your request to hundreds of potentially capable experts... instantly!

There are two types of eCast:
  • narrowband – sent to a relatively small number of highly targeted experts
  • broadband – sent to large numbers of experts based on broad selection criteria.
Narrowband eCasts
A subscriber who has retrieved a list of experts by browsing the subject index will be given the opportunity to send an eCast to that list of experts. This is a highly targeted form of eCast appropriate when subscribers are able to focus in on particular specialisms.

Broadband eCasts
If a subscriber is not sure what sort of expert to choose, the broadband eCast is the better option. Broadband eCasts use sectors to define very broad areas of interest. Experts listed on 2 select one or more sectors. When subscribers send broadband eCasts they choose which sectors they want to target (i.e. those sectors most likely to contain experts who may be able to help).

How eCasts work
Simply...
  1. Write a short description of your requirements.
  2. We’ll send an e-mail to all the relevant experts, giving details of the request.
  3. Experts can signal their interest directly on our website.
  4. You can see who has responded.

What is a sector?
To target broadband eCasts to those experts most likely to be able to help, J S Publications has defined broad areas of interest. These have been chosen to reflect the areas commonly used in the media and PR professions. The areas are:
  Agriculture • Arts • Business • Consumer • Engineering • Environment • Financial • Food and drink • Health and beauty • IT • Legal • Leisure • Medical • Politics • Property • Science • Travel •  ...anything else

Does my name get broadcast?
Only if you want it to. The names of experts are never broadcast. The name of the person issuing the eCast can be broadcast if so desired.
